WOLLI CREEK - A HIGH QUALITY SUBURB FOR LIVING, RECREATION AND WORKING

Slowly developing area very close to the city and Newtown eats. It has good access to train lines and transport. There is a major anchor business (Woolworths) in Wolli Creek. Nearby IKEA Tempe certainly puts the area on the map! Overall, the popularity of the place has taken off in recent years and continues to do so driving low vacancy rates and higher property prices.

Public transport is awesome. Bus straight to Newtown and a train every 5 mins to the city. Traffic is horrible. Since Woolworths went in, Brodie Spark Drive and Arncliffe St are just gridlock most times. Non peak it’s not too bad and nighttime it’s fine. Some lovely walks around the Cooks River. Not all that close to any shopping centres. Probably Rockdale or Marrickville being closest.

It has everything, Woolworths, Aldi, pharmacy, the Orange ‘smaller type’ supermarket, Wolli creek family practice, great coffee shops – Discovery Pizza, just to mention a few, plus many various types of food scattered around….Wolli is close to Sydney city, having a major railway station that can take you ANYWHERE you want to go.

I work in the city and spend a lot of time there on the weekend, so Wolli Creek is perfect for me. The local Woolies was great when it opened a couple of years ago, now it’s just annoying because of the massively undersized carpark. Local roads aren’t equipped to handle the impending influx of traffic.
